Abernathy, Jonathan S. "Jon"
ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Jonathan S. "Jon" Abernathy, 59, of Altenburg died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Jonathan "Jon" S. Abernathy, 59, of Altenburg died February 3, 2015 at his residence.
He was born April 25, 1955 in Rolla, MO, son of Ewing and Gladys (Moeslein) Abernathy. His mother survives in Perryville. He and Freida E. Hahn were married on February 5, 1977. She survives in Altenburg, MO.
Jonathan worked in furniture restoration. He had formerly worked for East Perry Lumber Co. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Other survivors include one daughter, Amanda (Timothy) Lohmann of Perryville; one son, Nathan Abernathy of Altenburg; one brother, Roger (Titania) Abernathy of Island of Moorea, Tahiti; one sister, Linda (Richard) Gollahon of Rolla, MO; and two grandsons, Noah and Alex Lohmann.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Mark and Michael Abernathy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6 at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, February 7 from 6:30 to 8:00 am. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg with Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial at a later date.
Memorials are preferred for family use.
