Abernathy, Michael
SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Michael Abernathy, 60, of Sedgewickville passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of Elmer Robert and Charlette Owens Abernathy. He and Carolyn Sue Macke were married Jan. 27, 1973.
Michael was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church. He was a mechanic and carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Sue of Sedgewickville; his mother, Charlette of Sedgewickville; a son, Justin Abernathy of Cape Girardeau; a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Carole Abernathy of Sedgewickville; and a grandson, Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery near Sedgewickville.
