Angle, Clyde W.
Clyde W. Angle, 76, of Jackson, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau of a head injury sustained at his home.
He was born Jan. 8, 1929, at Mayfield, Mo., son of Walter Chandes and Delphia V. Green Angle. He and Verda Mae Mayfield were married May 21, 1951, at Piggott, Ark.
Angle worked as a machine operator for the Florsheim Shoe Co. and was a member of the Little Whitewater Baptist Church at Mayfield, Mo. He was a Korean War veteran, serving with Battery B of the 936th Field Artillery Battalion. He received three Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin Angle of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Kent Angle of Millersville; a daughter, Rhonda Koller of Jackson; a brother, Cletus Angle of Marble Hill, Mo.; a sister, Pauline Wilkinson of Marble Hill, Mo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Little Whitewater Baptist Church.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Whitewater Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Collins and Don Slatton officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery at Marble Hill, Mo.
