Arnold, Floyd E.
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Floyd E. Arnold, 88, formerly of 14109 Buchanan Trail West, died
Thursday, March 20, 1997, at ManorCare Health Care Services, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born March 8, 1909, in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late L.B. and Mary Pike Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Thelma Angle Arnold on Jan. 24, 1997.
He was a dairy farmer in the Mercersburg, Fort Loudon and Greencastle, Pa., areas. He
retired from farming in 1970. He later worked in security at Chambersburg Hospital.
He was a member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church, Greencastle.
He is survived by one daughter, Betty A. Bridendolph of Mercersburg; one sister, Marie
A. Statler of Chambersburg; one granddaughter, Barbara L. Bridendolph of
Mercersburg; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave.,
Mercersburg. The Rev. Garry L. Culler will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery,
Mercersburg.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home.

Greencastle, Pa. 17225.
