Baker, Eugenia (nee Pulliam)

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Eugenia Baker, 83, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Scopus, Mo., daughter of Ernest and Dona Grable Pulliam. She and Marion Ray Baker were married Dec. 25, 1946.

Eugenia had worked at Howard's as a seamstress and was of the General Baptist belief.

Survivors include her husband, Marion Ray Baker of Scopus; two sons, Norman Baker of Benton, Mo., Richard Baker of Jackson; a daughter, Linda Kovacs of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Truman Pulliam of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Sally Slinkard of Oak Ridge; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bradley Baker; and a brother, Henry Pulliam.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Lesley officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery near Scopus.
