Baker, Mollie May (nee Niswonger)

Jackson - Mrs. Wesley E. Baker, 66 years old, of Jackson died at 9:10 Tuesday night at a Cape Girardeau hospital. She had been a patient in the hospital since December 30, but had long been ill.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Niswonger, Mrs. Baker was born at Millersville, December 19, 1891. She attended the Kurreville school and was married to Mr. Baker December 19, 1909. She was first united with the Old Salem Methodist Church, but after the family moved to Jackson in 1923 she joined New McKendree Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was employed for a number of years at the shoe factory.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Welker of Milton, Ore., and Mrs. Maggie Crites of Cape Girardeau; a half sister, Mrs. Annie Statler of Cape; three brothers, Pink, Ode and Ernest Niswonger of Cape; two foster sons, Maple Stearns of St. Louis and Rex Limbaugh of Jackson, a daughter, Mary Frances died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at New McKendree Church to where the body will be taken at 1:30 from Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. The pastor, Rev. C. E. Yoes will conduct the services and interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
