Baker, Wesley Eli

Funeral services were conducted Monday for Wesley E. Baker, 80 years old, a retired flour mill worker, who died Saturday at a Cape Girardeau hospital. Rev. John Glassey conducted the services at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. Burial was in Russell Heights Cemetery. Mr. Baker was born December 25, 1889 near Marble Hill, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Baker and was married in 1909 to Miss Mollie Niswonger, who died January 7, 1958. He spent his early life on a farm near Millersville before moving to Jackson in the early 1920's when he began work for Cape Co. Milling Co., with which he remained until his retirement. Surviving are two foster sons, Rex Limbaugh of Jackson and Maple Stearns of Mehlville. A daughter, Mary Francis, died in infancy. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
