A funeral will be held Tuesday, March 27th, 2001 for 73-year-old Walter Leo Balsmann of Perryville who died Sunday at his home.
He was born May 24th, 1927 in Apple Creek, the son of Barney Balsmann and Ida Trapp Balsmann who preceded in death.
He married Mary J. Bedwell. She preceded in death.
He married Doris Hansen. She preceded in death.
He married Billie P. Tucker on October 7th, 2000. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by one son: Patrick G. Balsmann of Effingham, Illinois and one daughter: Susan K. Jasper of St. Louis.
Three great grandchildren also survive.
One brother also preceded him in death.
He was a truck driver for Giesler Concrete for 42 years.
He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, third degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Holy Name Society.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. this (Monday, March 26th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 27th at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish wake with the Knights of Columbus will be at 7 this (Monday, March 26th) evening and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A funeral for 73-year-old Walter Leo Balsmann of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27th at the St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz C.M. will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Park Hills Hospice or St. Vincent Schools.
