Barks, Jefferson Conrad
JACKSON - Jefferson Conrad Barks 71 years old died of cancer at 6:15 a.m. today at his home in Daisy following an extended illness.
Mr. Barks was born July 2 1878 in the Daisy community. He moved from his farm near there into the town abouth eight years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Iva Drum Barks; three daughters Mrs. Lynn (Artie) Roberts and Mrs. Gifford (Vidie) Hahs of Daisy; and Mrs. Elmer (Iona) Zoellner of near Friedheim; and six grandchildren.
The body at the Cracraft Miller Funeral Home was to be removed to the family home late today. Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the New Salem Methodist Church by Rev. E.H. Conner of Oak Ridge. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
