Barks, Shirley Jean (nee Moore)
Shirley Jean Barks, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at her home.
She was born July 1, 1942, in Greeneville, Tenn., daughter of William and Mary Cutshaw Moore. She and David Barks were married April 7, 1968, in Mascoutah, Ill.
Barks was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary. She had worked at Rockwell International.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Todd Barks of Alabama, Tab Barks of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kim Espinoza, Lara Flores and Darla Hughes, all of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Ray Moore of Greeneville; two sisters, Glenda Taylor of Warner Robins, Ga., Barbara Mysinger of Greeneville; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ray Dean Mysinger officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
