Baudendistel, Verna A. (nee Richardet)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Verna A. Baudendistel, 90, of Perryville died Friday, May 15, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 24, 1918, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Gilbert and Edna Kuhlman Richardet. She and Wallace Baudendistel were married Sept. 21, 1940, in Perryville. He died March 23, 2004.
Mrs. Baudendistel worked at International Shoe Factory. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Baudendistel of Houston, David Baudendistel of Hannibal, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Buerck of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Everett Richardet of Perryville; a sister, Leona Kaston of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Ladies Sodality will be at 7:30 Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice or the Lutheran Home.
