A funeral will be held Tuesday, February 29th, 2000 for 59-year-old Winfred P. "Wick" Baudendistel of Perryville who died Sunday, February 26th at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born January 8th, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Clarence and Stella (Moonier) Baudendistel who both preceded him in death.

He married Sharon Vernon on January 10th, 1983. She survives in Perryville.

Two sons also survive him: Curt and his wife Connie Vernon of Perryville and Winfred "Chip" Baudendistel of Goose Creek, South Carolina.

One daughter, Donna, Mrs. David Jones, of Mobile, Alabama, also survives.

One brother, Francis Baudendistel of Perryville survives.

Three grandchildren and two nieces also survive him.

He was a retired infantry Special Forces U.S. Army Green Beret who served seven tours in Vietnam and was a life member of the VFW and Am Vets. He was also a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Visitation this (Monday, February 28th) afternoon and evening from 4-9 p.m. and tomorrow (Tuesday, February 29th) morning from 6:30-8:30 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A VFW wake will be held at 7 this evening at the funeral home.

A funeral for 59-year-old Winfred P. "Wick" Baudendistel of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 29th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

The Reverend Craig Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
