Beeson, Muriel M. (nee Huber)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Muriel M. Beeson, 88, of Perryville died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at her home.

She was born March 13, 1925, in Perry County, daughter of Edwin F. and Inice Colin Huber. She and Donald S. Beeson were married May 12, 1945. He preceded her in death April 18, 1991.

Muriel was a teacher at Rock Valley and St. Boniface. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1263 Auxiliary, state of Missouri ombudsman 20 years at area nursing homes, lifetime member of American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary, and member of Perry Promenaders. She was a decorator many years for community events and weddings.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Dan Beeson of Phoenix, Susan Gerhard of St. Louis, Sally (Jeff) Suchman of Jackson, Scott Beeson of Kansas City, Mo., and Donna Tyree of Perryville; a daughter-in-law, Diana Beeson of Jackson; and a sister-in-law, Velma Lee Huber of Perryville.

Also, 14 grandchildren, Jessica (Morgan) Mundel, Alexandria Beeson, Tracy (Mike) Michko, Rose Beeson, Rachel (Derrek) Giles, Becky (Derek) Flieg, Brian Gerhard, Anna (Jesse) Williamson, Casey (Tynn) Watson, John David Cargle, Amanda (Nathan) Thwing, Garrett Beeson, Danielle Brickey and Brianna Brickey; 12 great-grandchildren, Mason and Simon Mundel, Hunter, Sebastian, Ian and Tucker Michko, Selah and Noah Flieg, Trevor, Isabella and Eliza Thwing and Hailey Beeson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, David Beeson; and two brothers, Bert and Leroy James Huber.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools.
