PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Doris M. Bergman, 82, of Perryville died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Frohna, Mo., daughter of Ernst T. and Martha Vogel Kramer. She and Ralph O. Bergman were married July 29, 1945. He died Jan. 5, 2000.

Bergman was a cook for 30 years at Immanuel Lutheran School Cafeteria in Perryville. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel Ladies Aid, and a volunteer at Perry County Nursing Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Modde of St. Peters, Mo.; a son, Jerry Bergman of Perryville; two brothers, Herb Kramer of Uniontown, Mo., and Roy Kramer of Shoreview, Minn.; three sisters, Lillian Pingel of Bella Vista, Ark., Marie Wirth and Betty Meyer, both of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Christopher Cole officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 1st, 2007 for 82-year-old Doris M. Bergman of Perryville, who died Saturday, April 28th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 13th, 1924 in Frohna, the daughter of Ernst T. and Martha (Vogel) Kramer, who both preceded her in death.

She married Ralph O. Bergman on July 29th, 1945. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Sharon and Jerry Modde of St. Peters; one son and daughter in law, Jerry and Clare Bergman of Perryville; two brothers, Herb Kramer of Uniontown and Roy Kramer of Shoreview, Minnesota; three sisters, Lillian Pingel of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Marie Wirth of St. Louis and Betty Meyer of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Scott Modde, Todd, Ryan and Chad Bergman and Tonya Ehlmann; eight great grandchildren, Courtney, Amber, Abigail, Eann, Chloe, Clay and Noah Bergman and Dane Ehlmann.

She had been a cook for 30 years at the Immanuel Lutheran School cafeterial in Perryville.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel Ladies Aid. She was a church greeter, attended various Bible classes and was a volunteer at the Perry County Nursing Home.

Visitation will be 4-9 this (Monday, April 30th) evening and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 1st at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 82-year-old Doris M. Bergman of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1st at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Christopher Cole will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund, Church Debt Fund or Radio Broadcast Fund.
