Berrong, Bobbie LeRoy
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Bobbie LeRoy Berrong, 71, of Advance passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1931, at Arab, Mo., son of Odis and Stella Walker Berrong.
Bobbie worked on his family's farm until he moved to Advance. He then worked on Jerry and Linda Eggimann's farm until he retired at age 62. He attended Advance United Methodist Church, where he took care of the shrubbery nine years.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Helen Berrong of St. Peters, Mo., Elvie and Eula Berrong of St. Ann, Mo.; a sister and brother-in-law, Neola and Roy Haynie of Advance; a sister-in-law, Christine Berrong of Oak Ridge; an uncle, L.A. Walker of Vernon, Ala.; an aunt, Clara Statler of Vernon; three nephews, Terry Haynie of Bridgeton, Mo., Gary Haynie of Troy, Mo., Randy Berrong of St. Ann; five nieces, Brenda Rank of St. Charles, Mo., Connie Depriest of Overland, Mo., Sandy Duncan of St. Charles, Pam Berrong and Chrisse Young of Oak Ridge; 14 great-nieces and nephews; 11 great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell Berrong; an infant sister, a niece, and two nephews.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery at Gipsy, Mo.
Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice.
