Besand, Edward J.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 for 75-year-old Edward J. Besand of Perryville who died Tuesday at his residence.
He was born on June 22, 1924 in Perryville, the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Fenwick) Besand.
He was married to Dorothy Welland, who survives in Perryville.
Children surviving are Terry Besand of Fairfield, CA; Craig Besand of St. Charles; and Bradley Besand of St. Louis.
Five grandchildren also survive.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and VFW and was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. and Thursday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. There will be a VFW wake service Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Funeral service for Edward J. Besand will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Craig Otto will officiate.
Memorial preference is to the American Heart Association or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
