Best, Aleen H. (nee Engert)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Aleen H. Best, 84, of Perryville died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born March 12, 1929, in Frohna, Mo., daughter of Edwin and Amanda Schilling Engert. She and Elmer "Sonny" Best were married April 30, 1950. He preceded her in death April 23, 1999.

Aleen had been a residential house cleaner in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

Survivors include three sons, Rickey (Christine) Best of Uniontown, Mo., Donny (Joy) Best of Perryville and Ronny (Stella) Best of Uniontown; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter-in-law, Linda Best; a brother, Norman Engert; and a sister, Violet Roth.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church or Serenity Hospice.

A funeral will be held Friday, March 22nd, 2013 for 84-year-old Allen Best of Perryville, who died Monday, March 18th, 2013 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born March 12th, 1929 in Frohna, the daughter of Edwin and Amanda (Schilling) Engert. They preceded her in death.

She married Elmer "Sonny" Best April 30th, 1950. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Rickey and Christine Best of Uniontown, Donny and Joy Best of Perryville, Ronny and Stella Best of Uniontown; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 21 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and on Friday, March 22 from 6:30 am until time of service at 10:00 am with Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
