Best, Marvin Henry, Sr.
Marvin H. Best Sr., 87, of Gordonville died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
He was born June 30, 1927, at Tilsit to Gustav and Lydia Burgfield Best. He and Verna E. Ruesler were married Feb. 6, 1949, at Friedheim.
Marvin was a farmer all his life. He was a lifetime member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Marvin H. (Carolyn) Best Jr. of Gordonville; a daughter, Bonnie (Brian) Stahlman of Gordonville; four grandchildren, Bob Best, Terry (Mindy) Best, Jennifer and Ashley Stahlman, all of Gordonville; and three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Cody and Andy Best of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Salem Cemetery or Evangelical Church of Christ.
