Birk, Emma Caroline
Lillian C. Birk, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, to Albert and Caroline Loos Birk.
Lillian was office secretary at Florsheim Shoe Co. more than 40 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Ladies Senior Aid and was Sunday school secretary many years.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Helen Birk of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Carol Schmidt of Cape Girardeau and Margie Voelker of St. Charles, Mo.; four nephews, Danny Birk (Lynne) and Gary Birk (Donna) of Cape Girardeau, Roy Birk of Ann Arbor, Mich., Reman Birk (Betty) of Florissant, Mo.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Birk; mother, Caroline Loos; three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Briete officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund and Saxony Lutheran High School.
