Blaylock, Chlola Viola (nee Statler)
Chlola Viola Blaylock, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Jan. 8, 1917, at Daisy, to Daniel Marion and Martha Ann Haupt Statler. She and Cecil Osler Blaylock were married Feb. 9, 1936, at Portageville, Mo. He died Nov. 17, 2007.
Blaylock was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Calvary Shrine 8 Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem and St. Mark Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Sally A. (Lloyd) Daniels of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband; a son, Richard D. Blaylock; a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7.
The funeral will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to Centenary United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
