Blechle, Mildred Ann (nee Pingel)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Mildred Ann Blechle, 87, of Perryville died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born March 11, 1921, in Perry County, daughter of Rudolph and Josephine Hotop Pingel. She and Valentine "Wally" Blechle were married Sept. 2, 1944. He died Sept. 7, 1986.
Blechle retired as a cook at Country Kettle. She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo., St. Ann's Sodality, Biehle Social Club and Western Catholic Union.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Blechle of Biehle, Mike Blechle of Cape Girardeau, Richard Blechle of Blue Springs, Mo.; a daughter, Sharon Dow of Perryville; six sisters, Anita Ernst and Mary Kutz of Biehle, Elsie Tucker of Florissant, Mo., Dorothy Ponder of Bloomsdale, Mo., Viola Amschler of Cape Girardeau, Doris Balsmann of Old Appleton, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A parish and sodality wake will be held at 5 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maurus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Alphonse Hoernig officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
