UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Eldor E. Bock, 84, of Uniontown died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Visitation was Sunday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville, Mo., and will continue from 6:30 to 8 a.m. today.

The funeral be at 10 a.m. today at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside honors by the VFW and Missouri Delta Team.

A funeral will be held Monday, November 30th, 2009 for 84-year-old Eldor E. Bock of Frohna who died November 27, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born in November 11, 1925 in Uniontown, the son of Benjamin and Alma (Brandes) Bock who both preceded him in death.

He married Vernell Koch on August 23, 1952. She survives in Frohna.

He is also survived by two sons and two daughters: Joyce and Mohammed Fikri of Springfield, Illinois, Robert and Nelda Bock of Columbia, David Bock of Frohna, Mary and David Eaton of St. Louis; two sisters: Ruth Ponder of Cape Girardeau and Irene Palisch of Altenburg; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Alfred "Butch" Bock.

He was a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of and past Elder, School Board Member and on the Finance Board of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.

He was a Merchant Marine Veteran of WW II, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of VFW Post 4282, American Legion Post 133 and Farm Bureau, all in Perryville.

He was a past member of Dairy Farmers of America.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 29th and 6:30-8 a.m. Monday, November 30th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A VFW Wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. and American Legion Wake at 7 p.m. Sunday.

A funeral for 84-year-old Eldor E. Bock of Frohna will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 30th at the Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside honors by the VFW and the Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Lutheran Hour Ministries, St. Johns Church in Chester, Illinois or Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.
