Bohnenkamp, William

Mr. William Bohnenkamp was born Jan. 19, 1885 in Bourbon, MO., to the union of August and Wilhelmina Bohnenkamp nee Koch, and passed away Oct. 26, 1969 at the Manchester Nursing Home of Winchester, MO., at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 7 days.   William was one of four children: 3 brothers; Fred, Gussie and Sam were born to this union.

He attended his schooling in the Bourbon Community and raised his family in this area, after the death of his wife in 1947 he lived with his children up till the time he entered the Manchester Nursing Home.  Mr. Bohnenkamp a farmer and businessman all his life owned and operated a dairy farm in the Bourbon Community. In March of 1911, he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Sites, 5 children: 3 sons, Ben, Wilbur and Don, 2 daughters Vera and Bonnie were born to this union.

Those who survive to mourn his passing are: his children, 1 daughter, Mrs. Vera Troutt, of Sullivan, MO., 3 sons, Ben and Wilbur of Bourbon, MO., and Don of Colorado, 1 brother, Rev. Sam D. Bohnenkamp of Farmington, Mo., 9 grand-children, 2 great grand-children, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Minnie Bohnenkamp his wife: one daughter Mrs. Bonnie Reiner, one grand child Mary Lynn Bohnenkamp and 2 brothers Fred and Gussie preceded him in death.

Mr. Bohnenkamp was in state Shanklin-Britton Funeral Home, Bourbon, Missouri until 12:00 noon Wed., Oct. 29, 1969, then to the Bourbon Methodist Church for Services at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. W. V. Gastain officiating.  Sacred hymns were sung by the Bourbon Methodist Church choie, with Mrs. Marvin Valle, serving as their accompanist. Interment, Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, MO.  The following named served as his pallbearers, Mr. Lute Erni, Mr. Ed Dunn, Mr. Earl Baldwin, Mr. Oscar Eikerman, Mr. Lloyd Tucker and Mr. Clyde Alexander.
