PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dorothy M. "Dot" Bohnert, 91, of Perryville died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 26, 1922, in Perry County, daughter of Louis Francis and Mary Ida Tucker Guyott. She and Clayton J. Bohnert were married June 8, 1943. He preceded her in death March 31, 2007.

Dorothy was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She loved cooking, reading and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Steve) Huber and Vickie (Ralph) Schamburg of Perryville; three sons, Steve (Faye) Bohnert of Perryville, Kevin Bohnert and special friend Kim Runge of Jackson and Brian (Connie) Bohnert of Perryville; a brother, George Guyott of Tucson, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren, Amy Robinson, Ed Huber, Andrew Huber, Mark Huber, Emily Miesner, Julie Anders, Danny Huber, Chris Schamburg, Angie Huber, Mike and Matt Schamburg, Michelle Menos, Shaun Wibbenmeyer, Hayley Bohnert, Jamie Katherine Bohnert and Ashley Bohnert; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Justin Bohnert; six sisters; and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at noon Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Crosstown, Mo.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent de Paul Church or School.

A funeral will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 for 91-year-old Dorothy M. "Dot" Bohnert of Perryville who died July 29, 2013 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born July 26, 1922 in Perry County, the daughter of Louis Francis and Mary Ida (Tucker) Guyott who both preceded her in death.

She married Clayton J. Bohnert June 8, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2007.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters: Judy (Steve) Huber, Vickie (Ralph) Schamburg, and Steve (Faye) Bohnert, all of Perryville, Kevin Bohnert (special friend Kim Runge) of Jackson, and Brian (Connie) Bohnert of Perryville, a brother: George Guyott of Tucson, Arizona, 16 grandchildren: Amy Robinson, Ed Huber, Andrew Huber, Mark Huber, Emily Miesner, Julie Anders, Danny Huber, Chris Schamburg, Angie Huber, Mike and Mattt Schamburg, Michelle Menos, Shaun Wibbenmeyer, Hayley Bohnert, Jamie Katherine Bohnert and Ashley Bohnert and 14 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Justin Bohnert; six sisters and three brothers.

She was a home maker. She loved cooking, reading and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 and 6:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 1st at the Young & Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and a rosary at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
