PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Melbourne J. Bohnert Sr., 89, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Perryville.

A funeral will be held Thursday, September 9th, 2010 for 89-year-old Melbourne J. Bohnert Sr. of Perryville who died September 6, 2010 at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville.

He was born September 26th, 1910 in Uniontown, the son of the John J. and Sarah (Bohnert) Bohnert who both preceded him in death.

He married Loretta R. Tackaberry on May 2, 1942. She preceded him in death on December 12, 2003.

He is survived by two sons: Melbourne "Bud" (Judy) Bohnert Jr., and Craig (Lisa) Bohnert, all of Perryville; six daughters: Mary Ann (William) Weibrecht, all of Perryville, Pam (Ed) Lowry of Jackson, Losang (Bill) May of the state of Arizona, Vicki Sue (Scot) Covington of the state of Virginia, Jean (Gary) Friedrich of Jefferson County and Nancy (Louie) Ochs of Perryville; a brother: James J. "Chink" Bohnert of Perryville and two sisters: Laura Bert both of Perryville and Dorothy Otte of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, Linus and Harry and a sister, Trula Huber.

He was a retired Kas Potato Chip sales representative.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 8 and 6:30-10 a.m. Thursday.

A funeral for 89-year-old Melbourne J. Bohnert Sr. of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 9th with Rev. Milton Ryan CM officiating.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Child Abuse Prevention.

The Young and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
