Travis C. Bohnert, 53, of Clarksville, TN died December 20, 2013 at North Crest Medical Center in Springfield, TN.
He was born April 23, 1960 in Perryville, MO, son of Roy Robert and Flora Evelyn (Bohnert) Bohnert.
Travis was a prison guard at Charles Bass Correctional Facility in Nashville, TN. He was an US Army veteran. He did two tours duty in South Korea. He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown. He was member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include one son, Shane (Amanda McDaniels) Bohnert of Hermitage, TN; seven brothers and sisters, Barbara (John) Priest of Nichols, IA, Patricia Smith of Lacey, WA, Fran Bohnert of Longtown, MO, Charlotte (Jim) Farrar of Perryville, Becky (Joe) Zintel of Erie, CO, William (Lydia) Bohnert of Perryville, Matthew (Sarah)Bohnert of Altenburg; and 2 grandsons, Caleb Andrew and Aiden Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents one sister, Margaret Bohnert.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27 at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial in Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, MO. Military Honors by Amer. Legion Post 133 & Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church.
