Bohnert, Wilpert John "Wib"
A funeral will be held Wednesday, March 21st, 2001 for 92-year-old Wilpert "Wib" Bohnert of Longtown who died today, (Monday, March 19th) at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.
He was born September 21st, 1908 in Longtown, the son of John Ferd and Matilda Marie (Weinrich) Bohnert who preceded in death.
He married Wilma Marie Puntmann on November 6th, 1938. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by one son and daughter in law, Ronald and Betty Bohnert of Perryville and one daughter and son in law Nancy and Othmar Berkbuegler of Biehle.
Seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren survive.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
Four brothers and two parents also preceded him in death.
He was a retired truck driver and owned and operated the Wayne Feed store in Longtown.
He was a member, past finance committee member and a church elder at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown.
Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 20th and 6:30-8 a.m. Wednesday, March 21st at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.
A funeral for 92-year-old Wilpert "Wib" Bohnert of Longtown will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21st at the Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate.
Memorials are preferred to the Zion Lutheran Church.
