Boland, Paul R. "Spanky"

Paul R. "Spanky" Boland, 65, of Minnith died June 28, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Crystal City.

He was born April 18, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, MO, son of John Raymond and Ethel Adele (Tallevast) Boland. He and June R. Lee-Nichols were married February 4, 1978. She survives in Minnith, MO.

Mr. Boland was a Diesel Mechanic with Mississippi Lime for 41 years. He was a member of Saline Baptist Church in Minnith. He loved raising cattle and riding horses.

Survivors include one son and four daughters; James Nichols of Lithium, Deborah (Edward) Schweigert of French Village, MO, Deborah (Chad) Hollingsworth of Patton, Christina (Gary) Hale of Glasgow, KY, Jennifer (Dave) Sticht of Frohna, three sisters; Judy Bruckerhoff and friend Bob Post of St. Louis, Rita Boland of Perryville, Brenda McCain and fiancée Darrell Arnold of Perryville, eight grandchildren; Ethan, Levi and Hannah Schweigert, Crystal and Angel Hale, Paula Sticht, Amber Vance and Dakota Hollingsworth and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1 at Young & Sons Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:30 am. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at Saline Baptist Church in Minnith at 11:00 am with Rev. Steve Berry & Dr. Ryan Tisher officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Food Pantry at 1st Baptist Church in Ste. Genevieve.
