Bollinger, Franklin W.

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Franklin W. Bollinger, 85, of Sedgewickville died Sept. 10, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 5, 1925, at Millersville, son of Henry J. and Ethel H. Ellis Bollinger. He and Blanche L. Ramsey were married June 17, 1951, at Farmington, Mo.

Mr. Bollinger was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 42nd Rainbow Division. He had worked as a home builder and a farmer. He attended Crossroads United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche Bollinger of Sedgewickville; three sons, Joseph Bollinger of Bonne Terre, Mo., William Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, Timothy Bollinger of Millersville; two daughters, Vicki Schuette of Gordonville and Diane Miinch of Millersville; three brothers, Ralph Bollinger of Jackson, Tom Bollinger of Marquand, John Mark Bollinger of Sedgewickville; two sisters, Gladys Lawrence of Sedgewickville and Alice Walton of Normal, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was three brothers, Truman Bollinger, Clyde Bollinger, Lloyd Bollinger; one sister, Mary Crites; and one granddaughter, Angelia Bollinger.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Percy Pavloff and the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Woods Cemetery with full military honors by the Missouri Military Honor Guard.
