Bollinger, Helen Estelle (nee Jones)
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Helen Estelle Bollinger, 91, of Chaffee went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 30, 1918, at Burfordville, daughter of Fred Walker and Clara Dell Proctor Jones. She and Ancle W. Bollinger were married in November 1939. He died Dec. 13, 1983.
Helen retired from Florsheim Shoe where she worked in the lasting department from 1966 to 1979. She volunteered at RSVP in Chaffee over 20 years.
She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.
Survivors include four sons, Fred (Anna) Bollinger and Jim Bollinger of Scott City; David (Debra) Bollinger of Jackson, Leroy (Sandy) Bollinger of Chaffee; two daughters, Joyce McCullough of Cape Girardeau, LaDonna (Dan) Bollinger of Benton, Mo.; two sisters, Lillie Mae Hanselman and Sarah Jean Pogue of St. Louis; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Lessley Ridge Cemetery near Gravel Hill, Mo.
