Bollinger, Rita (nee Davis)
ORAN, Mo. -- Rita Heisserer Bollinger, 86, of Oran passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
She was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Fornfelt, daughter to Toby and Lillie Knupp Davis. Rita married Jerome Heisserer on July 12, 1946. He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1977. She married Dale Bollinger on Oct. 26, 1984. He preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1987.
Rita was a machine operator at Eli Walker in Fornfelt, and retired as supervisor at International Hat Factory in Oran. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and St. Ann Sodality.
Survivors include a son, Jerome (Belinda) Heisserer of Oran; two granddaughters, Tuesday Cooper of Oran, Alicia Webb of Cape Girardeau; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Katelan and Erin Polley, all of Oran.
Rita was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
The family requests all donations be made to Guardian Angel Catholic Church.
