Bollinger, Ruby Mae (nee Lukefahr)

Ruby M. Bollinger, 85, formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Park Lane Care Center in Wentzville, Mo., where she had been a resident since September 2004.

She was born Aug. 5, 1919, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Thomas J. and Hattie Blaylock Lukefahr. She and Hubert C. Bollinger were married Nov. 24, 1936, at Patton, Mo. He passed away Oct. 27, 1999.

Ruby was a charter member of Oak Ridge Eastern Star No. 310, member of Order of Amaranth, and other various fraternal organizations.

She was a former active member of New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy. After her husband's retirement in 1978, they moved to Jackson and joined First Presbyterian Church. She had been a 4-H leader in the Daisy community and active in county extension.

Loving survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Lynn Bollinger of Imperial, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, June and Robert Fugate of Wentzville; a sister, Hazel Hahs of Sedgewickville, Mo.; four grandsons, Tim Bollinger of Barnhart, Mo., Scott (Beth) Bollinger of Imperial, Robert (Tami) Fugate of Henderson, Nev., Jeff (Kim) Fugate of Wentzville; seven great-grandchildren, Luke and Emilee Bollinger, Christopher and Dylan Fugate, Alyssa, Grace and Ruth Fugate.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with an Eastern Star service at 7.

The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Dr. Grant Gillard officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Presbyterian Church in Jackson or New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy.
