Bollinger, Vesta Mae (nee Hartle)

Vesta M. Bollinger, 74, of Jackson died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 9, 1930, at Millersville, daughter of Hubert F. and Dessie M. Seabaugh Hartle. She and E. Glen Bollinger were married Aug. 13, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.

Vesta worked 10 years at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill, and 18 years at the former LeeRowan Co., retiring in 1983. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Glen; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Mark Masterson of Jackson; a granddaughter, Erica Masterson of Jackson; and a great-grandson, Isaiah Charles Masterson.

Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Al and Lou Hartle of Gilbertsville, Ky., Art and Cathy Hartle of Millersville; two sisters, Alene Proctor and Rose Seabaugh of Jackson; three sisters-in-law, Ilena Hartle and Agnes Bollinger of Jackson, Joann Bollinger of Sedgewickville, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judy Kay Bollinger, June 28, 1954; and a brother, Jay Hartle.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New McKendree Radio Ministry or Saint Francis Foundation.
