Brickhaus, Mildred Flora (nee Ochs)

A funeral will be held Thursday, July 26th, 2001 for 80-year-old Mildred F. Brickhaus of Perryville who died Saturday, July 21st at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born September 12th, 1920 in Menfro, the daughter of Gustav Fritz and Lilla Mary (Bergman) Ochs who both preceded her in death.

She married Walter M. Brickhaus on September 18th, 1943. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons and daughters in law and two daughters: Allen and Kathy Brickhaus of Golconda, Illinois; Margaret E. Brickhaus of Cape Girardeau; Glen and Marilyn Brickhaus of Perryville and Patricia Brickhaus of Dexter.

One brother also survives her: Calvin Ochs of Jefferson City.

Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

One brother, Milton Ochs, also preceded her in death.

She was a retired clerk and seamstress at Rozier's Department Store.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perryville; Lutheran Women's Missionary League; American Legion Auxiliary; and Friedheim Lutheran Historical Society.

She was the co-author of Friedenburg Remembrances, former teacher of the Friedenburg Sunday School, PTA and Girl Scouts.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25th from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, July 26th from 6:30-8:30 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 80-year-old Mildred F. Brickhaus of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Craig Otto will officiate.

Memorials are preferred to the Friedenburg Lutheran Historical Society or Shut In Ministries or Lutheran Family and Children Services.
