Brock, C. L. "Dobie"
ADVANCE, Mo. -- C.L. "Dobie" Brock, 90, of Advance passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at his home. He was born Oct. 16, 1924, at Wardell, Missouri, the son of Crit Dawson and Hettie Ellis Brock.
Dobie was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in World War II. He had been a mechanic and a farmer for 52 years.
Dobie and Evelyn Bernice Finney were united in marriage Nov. 15, 1949, at Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death June 16, 2001.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Brock and Hettie Brock, both of Advance; four sisters, Thelma Kosak of Springfield, Missouri, Barbara Craft of Austin, Texas, Annabelle McGraw of Cape Girardeau and Algernon Blythe of Waterford, Michigan; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Lori Brock Williams; three brothers; and a sister.
A private family service will be held.
Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of all arrangements.
