A funeral will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 for 52-year-old Christy L. Brown of Perryville who died March 25, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Joplin.

She was born April 30, 1958 in Perryville, daughter of Angela (Scott) Michaud, who preceded her in death.

She married Robert Gene Brown in June 1977. He preceded her in death.

She is also survived by her father and step mother Oliver and Lavern Michaud of Perryville; two daughters: Laura Lee (Glen) Buchheit Jr. and Mandy Elizabeth Brown, both of Perryville; a son; Dusten Gene Brown of Perryville; a special friend: Bill Evens of Perryville; two sisters: Karen Michaud and Denise (Randy) Riehn both of Perryville; a brother: Oliver Michaud of Perryville and two grandchildren: Kayla Lee and Megan Olivia Buchheit.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Miranda Beth Brown.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 28th and 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic Wake will be held at 5 p.m. Monday. The Rosary will be recited at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 52-year-old Christy L. Brown of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in St. Mary.

Memorials are preferred to Family Use (Mandy).
