Brune, Alpha Alfonda (nee Drum)

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Mrs. Alpha Alfonda Brune, 93, passed away March 1, 2002, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington.

She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Daisy, Mo., daughter of Arnold and Bertie "Brown" Drum.

Also preceding in death were her husband, Roscoe Paul Brune; son, Roscoe Donald Brune; sister, Alma Doggett; brothers, Wilson Drum, J.R. Drum and one in infancy; son-in-law, Gary Giles; and great-grandson Joshua Brune.

Alpha was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Farmington.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan Giles of Ironton, Mo.; a son, Randol Brune and wife Nancy of Olathe, Kan.; a daughter-in-law, Vera Brune of Farmington; a brother, Marvin "Ted" and wife Virgie Drum of Jackson, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Steve Brune and Donna Bess, both of Farmington, Laura Brune, Paul Brune and Daniel Brune of Olathe, Rhonda Warden of Arcadia, Mo., Dana Hale of Ironton and Debra Mickan of Annapolis, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two stepgreat-grandsons; and one stepgreat-great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Farmington from 5-8 p.m. today and from 7-10 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Dino Pacilli and the Rev. James King will officiate, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington.

Memorials can be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Hand Bell Choir.
