PERRYVILLE, Mo. --Mary Dell Brune, 90, of Perryville died June 16, 2011, at Independence Square in Perryville.

She was born in Hilderbrand, Mo., on April 28, 1921, daughter of the late Oscar Henry and Mellie Crites Brune.

Survivors include three sisters, Verna Hobeck of Daisy, Jean Seems of Sun City, Ariz., Dorothy Buck of Parma, Ohio; two brothers, Clyde Brune of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Kelly Brune of Friedheim, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Leo, Carl, Cleo, John Brune; two sisters, Loral Brune and Ruth Kutscher.

Mary Dell Brune was a first-grade public schoolteacher in Denver. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Women's Army Corps World War II veteran -- her decorations and citations include a Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Battle Stars, one Philippine Liberation Ribbon WAAC Service Ribbon, two Overseas Service Bars and Good Conduct Medal GO 108 Hq 1612 SCU 45 -- Delta Kappa Gamma, Denver Teacher Association, National Education Association and Colorado Education Association.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with military graveside service provided by VFW and Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 for 90-year-old Mary Dell Brune of Perryville, who died June 16, 2011 at Independence Square in Perryville.
