Buchheit, Cecelia Mae (nee Moore)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Cecelia Mae Buchheit, 81, of Perryville died Monday, April 16, 2007, at her home.
She was born May 15, 1925, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Victor V. and Bertha C. Moore. She first married Hubert A. L'Hote on July 17, 1943. He died Sept. 17, 1961. She and Erwin "Speed" Buchheit were married May 14, 1966.
Buchheit had worked at Prince Gardener and retired as a department manager at Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Western Catholic Union, and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, John and Rick L'Hote of Perryville, Hubert "Louie" L'Hote of St. Louis; two daughters, Carol Wingerter of Perryville, Marilyn Kay Hagan of Kirkwood, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Katy Koenig of Perryville, Louise Jausel of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 8:50 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. An American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by parish prayers at 7:30, and then a prayer service by Western Catholic Union. The rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
