Buchheit, Lorine Victoria (nee Schnurbusch)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lorine V. Buchheit, 101, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Perry Oaks Manor.

She was born Aug. 24, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of August and Theresa Leible Schnurbusch. She and August N. Buchheit were married May 19, 1931, at Apple Creek, Mo. He preceded her in death March 16, 1972.

Buchheit was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include five sons, Carl (Rose) Buchheit and Sylvester (Donna) Buchheit of Perryville, Daniel (Donna) Buchheit of Osage Beach, Mo., Ralph (Janice) Buchheit of Oklahoma City, Okla., Lynn (Donita) Buchheit of Eagle River, Alaska; five daughters, Doretta (Wayne) Balsman of Island Lake, Ill., Evelyn (Richard) Otte of Oakville, Mo., Myrtle (James) Gettinger of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Velda (Vic) Burdin of Herculaneum, Mo., Ruth Buchheit of Denver, and friend Tony Berge of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Joan Buchheit of St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Verna Buchheit of O'Fallon, Mo., Margaret Renaud and Ester Ochs of St. Louis; 26 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Lloyd and George Buchheit; three brothers, Leon, Everett and Walter Schnurbusch; two sisters, Gertrude Nanney and Flora Schnurbusch, SSJM.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 tonight. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to St. Vincent Education Foundation, St. Vincent High Centennial Endowment Fund or charity of choice.

A funeral will be held Friday, December 31st, 2010 for 101-year-old Lorine V. Buchheit of Perryville who died Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

She was born August 24, 1909 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of August Schnurbusch and Theresa Leible Schnurbusch who both preceded her in death.

She married August N. Buchheit on May 19, 1931 at Apple Creek. He preceded her in death March 16, 1972.

Genevieve, Velda (Vic) Burdin of Herculaneum, and Ruth Buchheit of Denver, Colorado; three sisters: Verna Buchheit of O’Fallon, Margaret Renaud of St. Louis and Ester Ochs of St. Louis, a friend: Tony Berge of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; 26 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by two sons: Lloyd Buchheit and George Buchheit; three brothers: Leon Schnurbusch, Everett Schnurbusch and Walter Schnurbusch; and two sisters: Gertrude Nanney and Flora Schnurbusch, SSJM.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 30th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Friday, December 31st at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 101-year-old Lorine V. Buchheit of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 31st St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan, CM will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
