PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Percy A. Buchheit, 90, of Perryville passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville.

He was born May 5, 1921, in Perry County, Mo., to Thomas and Ida Krieger Buchheit. He and Dolores Brewer were married April 12, 1947.

Buchheit served in the Army during World War II.

He was a bricklayer and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and American Legion Post 133.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters and a son, Joan Hoehn of Perryville, Donna (Ray) Hager of Barnhart, Mo., Craig Buchheit, Cindy Buchheit and special friend Kirk Frentzel, all of Perryville; five sisters and six brothers, Eunice Schott of Denver, Roy Buchheit of Yuma, Ariz., Lela Buerck of Perryville, Zita Brancio of Colorado, Dennis and Ronnie Buchheit of St. Louis, Tom Buchheit of Lake of the Ozarks, Betty Nahlik of Arnold, Mo., Paul Buchheit of Lake of the Ozarks, Patty Vogel of Arnold and Chancey Buchheit of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Louise Buchheit; two brothers, Elmer and Gilbert Buchheit; a granddaughter, Jenny Buchheit; and son-in-law, Calvin Hoehn.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Catholic wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today, and the rosary will be recited at noon Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military graveside service provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to AmHeart Hospice, St. Vincent Schools or Masses.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 for 90-year-old Percy Buchheit of Perryville, who died Sunday, January 15th, 2012 at Perry Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Perryville, MO.

He was born on May 5, 1921 in Perry County, the son of Thomas and Ida (Krieger) Buchheit. They preceded him in death.

He was married to Dolores Brewer on April 12, 1947. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by three daughters and one son; Joan Hoehn of Perryville, Donna (Ray) Hager of Barnhart, Craig Buchheit, Cindy Buchheit and special friend Kirk Frentzel all of Perryville, five sister and six brothers; Eunice Schott of Denver, Roy Buchheit of Yuma, Arizona, Lela Buerck of Perryville, Zita Brancio of Colorado, Dennis Buchheit and Ronnie Buchheit both of St. Louis, Tom Buchheit of Lake of the Ozarks, Betty Nahlik of Arnold, Paul Buchheit of Lake of the Ozarks, Patty Vogel of Arnold and Chancey Buchheit of Ste. Genevieve, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by step mother Louise Buchheit, two brothers; Elmer and Gilbert Buchheit, one granddaughter; Jenny Buchheit and son in law; Calvin Hoehn.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 17th, with a Catholic wake at 7 p.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation continues Wednesday, January 18th from 6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with Rosary recital at noon.

A funeral for 90-year-old Percy Buchheit of Perryville will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by American Legion Post 133 and the Missouri Delta Team.
