Buerck, Rudolph Oscar "Rudy", Jr.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Rudolph "Rudy" O. Buerck Jr., 68, of Perryville died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his home.
He was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Belgique, Mo., son of Rudolph J. and Bertha Baer Buerck. He and Catherine M. Gebhardt were married April 4, 1959. She died Dec. 31, 1980. He and Saundra Marie Brewer were married Aug. 8, 1989, in Perryville.
He was a fourth-degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 1263, American Legion Post 133, River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034, Elks Lodge 2701 and AmVets Post 94. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tim Buerck and Mike Buerck, both of Perryville; a daughter, Sandy Buerck of Perryville; three stepchildren, Tammy Faulkner of Dyersburg, Tenn., Terry Brewer of Perryville, Sidney Paul of Perryville; six brothers; Glennon Buerck and Tom Buerck, both of Uniontown, Eugene Buerck and Jerry Buerck, both of Festus, Mo., Robert Buerck and Roger Buerck, both of Perryville; three sisters, Bernetta Buchheit of Washington, Ind., Birdella Schnurbusch of St. Louis, Stella Prevallet of Perryville; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with parish and Knights of Columbus wake at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery in Biehle, Mo. Military graveside service will be provided by American Legion Post 133.

A funeral was held today, Monday, April 10, 2006 for 68-year-old Rudolph "Rudy" O. Buerck Jr. of Perryville who died Friday, January 7th at his residence.
He was born January 21st, 1938 in Belgique, the son of Rudolph J. and Bertha (Baer) Buerck Sr. who both preceded him in death.
He married Catherine M. Gebhardt on April 4th, 1959. She preceded him in death on December 31st, 1980.
He married Saundra Marie Brewer on August 8th, 1989. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by: two sons and daughters in law, Tim and Norma Buerck and Mike and Shari Buerk, all of Perryville; a daughter, Sandy Buerck and her friend Joe Weber of Perryville; three stepchildren, Tammy Faulkner of Dyersburg, Tennessee; Terry Brewer of Perryville; and Sidney Paul Phillips and his wife Jennifer of Perryville; six brothers and six sisters in law, Glennon and Nelda Buerck of Uniontown, Eugene and Carol Buerck of Festus, Jerry and Inez Buerck of Festus, Robert and Jean Buerck of Perryville, Tom and Eunice Buerck of Uniontown, Roger and Rhonda Buerck of Perryville; three sisters and two brothers in law, Bernetta and Linus Buchheit of Washington, Indiana, Birdella Schnurbusch of St. Louis and Stella and Bill Prevallet of Perryville; five grandchildren, Jessica and Trevor Buerck and Shawn, Blake and Stefani Buerck; six stepgrandchildren; and six step greatgrandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two nephews and a niece.
He was a maintenance worker at SEMCO.
He was a Catholic, a fourth degree member of the William J. Barnwell Knights of Columbus Council No. 1263, American Legion Post No. 133, River Hills Eagles Lodge No. 4034, Elks Lodge No. 2701, AmVets Post No. 4282, U.S. Army and National Guard.
A funeral mass for 68-year-old Rudolph "Rudy" O. Buerck Jr. of Perryville was held today, Monday, April 10th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz C.M. will officiate.
Burial was in the St. Maurus Cemetery in Biehle. Military graveside service was provided by American Legion Post No. 133.
Memorials may be made to the family.
