Buff, Leola Catherine (nee Behrle)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leola Catherine Buff, 83, of Gilman, Ill., died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion.
Buff was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Millheim, Mo., daughter of Louis and Frances Hennemann Behrle. Her childhood was spent in Perry County. She married Denzel Buff, who preceded her in death. She and Loy E. Buff were married Nov. 29, 1945, in Gilman. He died Dec. 24, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Olson of Gilman, Bonnie Ryszka of Mundelein, Ill., two brothers, Walter Behrle of Perryville, Earle Behrle of Bridgeton, Mo.; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a grandchild, four brothers and five sisters.
Leola came to Gilman in 1964. She was a seamstress at Gilman Dress Factory about 25 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Gilman and International Garment Workers Union.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:45 a.m. today at Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. John Balluff officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Gilman.
