PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lester Joseph Buff, 92, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with parish wake at 7:30 p.m., and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home...

A funeral will be held Saturday for 92-year-old Lester Joseph Buff of Perryville who died September 5, 2011 at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville.

He was born March 27, 1919 in Perry County, the son of Henry and Rosa (LaRose) Buff who both preceded him in death.

He married Marie E. Baudendistel April 11th, 1939. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2009.

He is survived by three daughters: Betty (Roger) Hudson of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Linda (Ron) Valleroy and Shirley (Prince) Hudson both of Perryville; a son: Larry (Linda) Buff of Perryville; a sister: Verna Mae Crowley of Denver, Colorado; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three sons: Jerry, Peter and Lester Jr.; two daughters: Debbie and Carol; a sister: Hilda Behrle and three brothers: Clyde, Paul and Edward Buff

He was the owner of Buff Motors.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 133, VFW Post No. 4282, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1263 and was a navy veteran of WW II.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 9th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 10th at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

A funeral for 92-year-old Lester Joseph Buff of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with military graveside service provided by the American Legion Post No. 133 and the Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimers Association.
