Bumgardaner, Verble (nee Standley)
ORAN, Mo. -- Verble Bumgardaner, 86, of Oran passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 11, 1928, in Perkins, Missouri, to Charles and Hazel Idalene Marcus Standley. She married John Calvin Bumgardaner on Aug. 28, 1946. He preceded her in death March 19, 1987.
Verble was a member of Perkins Baptist Church and devoted her life to raising her children.
Survivors include a son, Boyd C. (Kathleen Marie) Bumgardaner of Millington, Michigan; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Kenny Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
