Burchyett, Edna Myrel (nee Statler)
STURTEVANT - Mrs. Edna M. Burchyett, 76, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, September 25, 2004.
She was born in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on December 9, 1927, the daughter of
the late Anthony C. and Eula M. (nee: Cook) Statler. On November 14, 1947, in Cape
Girardeau, Mo., she was united in marriage to Lloyd R. 'Bud' Burchyett, who preceded her
in death on April 12, 1994.
Along with her husband and sons, she operated Burchyett's Greenhouse for many years.
Surviving are her sons, Randy (Gloria) Burchyett of Newton Grove, N.C. and Tony (Cindy)
Burchyett of Sturtevant; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Marty) Tilot of Kenosha, Jacob
Burchyett, Emily Burchyett, both of Sturtevant, Kelly Thielen, and Kim (Tim) Gleason, all
of Racine; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Ryan, Taylor, Amanda, and Maya; her
brother, Sonny (Evelyn) Statler of Kempton, Ill.; sisters, Dorothy Peetz of Lawrenceville,
Ga. and Helen (Delmon) Yount of Park Hills, Mo.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
friends. Her brother-in-law, John Peetz also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside in West Lawn Memorial Park on Thursday,
September 30, 2004, at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Barsch officiating. Please meet at the east
gate on 90th Street. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 until 7
p.m. Memorials have been suggested to your favorite charity.
The family would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. George Creuziger and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wildfong
for the love and concern they showed for Edna over the years.
