PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marita C. Cattoor, 91, of Perryville died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 14, 1921, in Perry County, daughter of Arthur and Luvina "Lulu" Hagan Thieret. Marita retired after 29 years as a cook with the Perry County School District. A funeral will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 for 91-year-old Marita C. Cattoor of Perryville who died May 15, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 14, 1921 in Perry County, the daughter of Arthur and Luvina "Lulu" (Hagan) Thieret.
She is survived by four sons: Jerry (Bonnie) Cattoor of Imperial, Ronald Cattoor and Darwin (Karen) Cattoor all of Perryville, and Richard (Karen) Cattoor of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Howard and Lloyd Thieret.
She retired after 29 years with Perry County School District 32 as a cook in the cafeteria.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno and a former member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ladies Sodality in Belgique.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 19 and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, May 20 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A funeral for 91-yeaer-old Marita C. Cattoor of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Rickey Valleroy will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Alzheimer Association or Masses.
