A funeral will be held Monday, July 25, 2011 for 49-year-old Ronald L. Christisen of Perryville who died July 22, 2011 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.
He was born November 30, 1961 in Perry County, son of the late Ludwig William Christisen and Evelyn (Schremp) Schubert who survives in Perryville.
He is survived by six brothers: Donald Christisen of the state of Iowa, and Larry, Merlin, Theodore, and Allen Christisen all of Perryville and Roy Christisen of St. Mary; and six sisters: Loretta Wood of Jackson, E. Judy Fry of St. Louis and Norma Schumer, Patricia Torbert, Terrie Emmendorfer and Donna Mahnken all of Perryville.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, two brothers: Robert and Kenny and a sister: Carolyn Grindstaff.
He retired after 20 years at the Perry County Sheltered Workshop.
He had attended Parkview State School in Cape Giradeau.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 49-year-old Ronald L. Christisen of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran school or church.
