Cissell, Leona K. (nee Nelson)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leona K. Cissell, 84, of Perryville died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born June 19, 1919, in Perry County, daughter of Douglas and Nettie Luckey Nelson. She and Clarence Augustin Cissell were married April 11, 1953. He died March 24, 1990.
Cissell retired as a clerk from Orscheln Farm and Home Supply. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Robert Cissell of Katy, Texas; two daughters, Katherine Kemna of DeSoto, Mo., Mary Ronan of Perryville; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 630 to 9:30 a.m. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday and American Legion Auxiliary wake at 7:15. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
