Cissell, Melba F. (nee Hoffman)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Melba Cissell, 98, of Perryville died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012.
She was born Nov. 6, 1913, in McBride, Mo., the daughter of Francis C. and Mary E. Yeager Hoffman.
She was married April 3, 1937, in Belgique, Mo., at Belgique Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church to Leo Cissell, who preceded her in death in February 1967.
Survivors include one son, Roger Cissell and his wife, Janice, of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Tammy Bills (husband, Jeff) of Woodland, Calif., and Steven Cissell (wife, Christal) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one brother; two sisters; and a son, Richard Cissell.
She was a homemaker and did restaurant work. She will be missed by her family and many friends. The family prefers memorials be made to Masses and St. Vincent DePaul Parish.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012 for 98-year-old Melba (Hoffman) Cissell of Perryville who died at 7:30 p.m. May 4th, 2012.
She was born November 6, 1913 in McBride, the daughter of Francis C. and Mary E. (Yeager) Hoffman who both preceded her in death.
She married Leo Cissell April 3, 1937 in Belgique at Belgique Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in February, 1967.
She is survived by a son: Roger (Janice) Cissell of Springfield; two grandchildren: Tammy (Jeff) Bills of Woodland, California and Steven (Christal) Cissell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a son: Richard Cissell.
She was a homemaker and did restaurant work.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 9th at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be recited at 7:30pm Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
A funeral mass for 98-year-old Melba (Hoffman) Cissell of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan, CM will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorials may be made Masses and St. Vincent DePaul Parish.
